- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by cooking the pasta according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent.
- Next, toss in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Cook until the mushrooms are browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well, and bring it to a gentle simmer.
- Once simmering, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and let it melt into the sauce.
- Season your sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss your cooked pasta in the sauce until it’s evenly coated.
- Finally, serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
