Description

Elevate the classic banana bread with a luscious cream cheese center for a moist and flavorful treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter until well mixed.
  3. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. Add in the baking soda and a pinch of salt, mixing gently.
  5. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, stirring just until combined—be careful not to overmix!
  6. Beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  7. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the banana batter, then top with the remaining banana batter.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
