A delightful blend of traditional tiramisu and festive Yule log, perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/2 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
- 6 large egg yolks
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 24 ladyfingers
- Cocoa powder for dusting
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Mix the cooled brewed coffee with coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside.
- Whisk together the egg yolks and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Gradually add the milk and cook until slightly thickened, then remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the cooled egg mixture into the mascarpone and add in the vanilla. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
- Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture briefly, then line the bottom of your log-shaped mold.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle chocolate shavings just before serving.
Notes
To avoid sogginess, dip ladyfingers briefly in coffee. Consider using day-old ladyfingers for the best texture.
