Description

A luxurious take on gratin-style potatoes layered with creamy Gruyère and Parmesan cheeses, perfect for comfort food lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 6 tablespoons of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish to prevent sticking and start layering.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish, seasoning with salt and pepper for flavor.
  4. Pour half of the heavy cream over this first layer, and then sprinkle half of both cheeses generously on top.
  5. Repeat the layering with the remaining potatoes, cream, and cheeses for that yummy richness.
  6. Dot the top with butter for extra flavor and cover it with foil.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and let it bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbling beautifully.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley just before serving to add a fresh touch.

Notes

For a creative twist, consider adding herbs between layers or swapping sweet potatoes for extra color.
