- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup butter (softened)
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Extra white sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set it aside.
- Cream together the white sugar, softened butter, and peanut butter in the bowl of your stand mixer until light and smooth.
- Beat in the egg until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until everything comes together smoothly.
- Drop rounded mounds of dough onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet using a tablespoon, pressing each mound down gently with a fork.
- Sprinkle a little extra sugar on top of each cookie for added sweetness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 11 minutes.
- Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack to let them cool completely.
Notes
For a fun twist, try adding chopped peanuts or chocolate chips to the dough.
