Description

Indulge in these rich and decadent Three Layer Chocolate Cream Pie Bars, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter in a mixing bowl. Mix until fully combined, then press into the bottom of a greased 9×9 inch baking dish to form your crust.
  3. Bake this crust for 10 minutes. Once done, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
  4. Combine the milk with the chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat, stirring continuously until melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  5. Beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a separate mixing bowl until smooth.
  6. Pour in the cooled chocolate mixture and mix until fully combined.
  7. Whip the heavy cream in another bowl until stiff peaks form, then gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until no streaks remain.
  8. Spread the chocolate filling evenly over the cooled cookie crust. Refrigerate until set, approximately 120-180 minutes.
  9. Top with freshly whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder before slicing and serving.

Notes

For added flair, serve with a drizzle of chocolate sauce or fresh berries. These bars can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
