- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter in a mixing bowl. Mix until fully combined, then press into the bottom of a greased 9×9 inch baking dish to form your crust.
- Bake this crust for 10 minutes. Once done, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
- Combine the milk with the chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat, stirring continuously until melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
- Beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a separate mixing bowl until smooth.
- Pour in the cooled chocolate mixture and mix until fully combined.
- Whip the heavy cream in another bowl until stiff peaks form, then gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until no streaks remain.
- Spread the chocolate filling evenly over the cooled cookie crust. Refrigerate until set, approximately 120-180 minutes.
- Top with freshly whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder before slicing and serving.
Notes
For added flair, serve with a drizzle of chocolate sauce or fresh berries. These bars can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
