- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder

- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Combine warm milk and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, salt, melted butter, and egg in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and knead until smooth.
- Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter on top, then sprinkle cocoa powder, cinnamon, and chocolate chips evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into individual rolls.
- Place them in a greased baking pan.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar with milk for the glaze and drizzle it over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
