- 1 large egg

Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well mixed.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just incorporated (don’t overmix!).
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the griddle.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
- Serve hot, topped with whipped cream, fresh berries, powdered sugar, and a drizzle of maple syrup, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For best results, do not overmix the batter. Leftover pancakes can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days or frozen for two months.
