Description

A quick and easy recipe for perfectly cooked Chilean sea bass, seasoned and baked to a golden perfection, perfect for special occasions or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Chilean sea bass fillets
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme), chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the Chilean sea bass fillets dry and season them with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  5. Transfer the seared fillets to a baking dish.
  6. Squeeze fresh lemon juice generously over the fillets and sprinkle with chopped herbs.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Serve immediately, and enjoy with your favorite sides.

Notes

For a perfect sear, ensure the skillet is hot before adding the fish. For added flavor, consider marinating the fish prior to cooking.
