Description

A comforting bowl of Chicken Katsu Ramen featuring crispy chicken, rich broth, and hearty ramen noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 servings ramen noodles
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Toppings: green onions, soft-boiled eggs, nori, bamboo shoots, etc.

Instructions

  1. Bring the chicken broth to a gentle simmer in a pot.
  2. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper for added flavor.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat it thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken until itโ€™s golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from the oil and let the chicken rest briefly before slicing.
  7. Add the cooked ramen noodles to serving bowls, ladle hot chicken broth over them, and top with sliced chicken and your favorite toppings.

Notes

For the crispiest chicken, ensure the oil is at the right temperature before frying. Don’t overcrowd the pan!
