Description
A delicious sandwich featuring buttery, garlic-infused shrimp nestled between thick slices of gooey cheese toast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices thick-cut bread (like sourdough or Texas toast)
- 6 oz medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the shrimp, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sauté until the shrimp is pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Combine to create a flavorful garlic spread.
- Assemble the Sandwiches: Take two slices of bread and spread garlic butter on one side. Layer half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese, followed by the sautéed shrimp. Then, top with the remaining cheese and another slice of bread, garlic butter side up.
- Cook the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet, cooking until golden brown and crispy. Flip carefully and repeat on the other side until the cheese has melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve Hot: Remove sandwiches from the skillet, slice them in half, and serve while warm for maximum flavor!
Notes
Consider serving with a salad or a bowl of creamy tomato soup for a perfect balance.
