- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups frozen French fries
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: diced tomatoes, pickles, or additional toppings
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it’s fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the frozen French fries.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the fries and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Top with the remaining French fries, ensuring they cover the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the fries are crispy and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Serve warm, optionally garnished with diced tomatoes or pickles for extra flavor!
