Description

A hearty casserole combining the flavors of a classic cheeseburger and crispy French fries, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups frozen French fries
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced tomatoes, pickles, or additional toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it’s fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the frozen French fries.
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the fries and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Top with the remaining French fries, ensuring they cover the casserole.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the fries are crispy and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Serve warm, optionally garnished with diced tomatoes or pickles for extra flavor!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days, or freeze for later use.
