Description

A creamy, low-carb alternative to traditional mashed potatoes made with cauliflower, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the cauliflower into small florets.
  2. Steam the florets in a pot for about 10-15 minutes, or until they’re fork-tender.
  3. Once cooked, drain the cauliflower and return it to the pot.
  4. Mix in the butter, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if you’re using it.
  5. Mash the mixture with a potato masher, or blend it using an immersion blender until smooth.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. Garnish with chives if desired before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider browning the butter before adding it to the cauliflower. Experiment with different herbs and spices to elevate the dish.
