- 1 head of cauliflower
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garlic powder (optional)
- Chives for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by cutting the cauliflower into small florets.
- Steam the florets in a pot for about 10-15 minutes, or until they’re fork-tender.
- Once cooked, drain the cauliflower and return it to the pot.
- Mix in the butter, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if you’re using it.
- Mash the mixture with a potato masher, or blend it using an immersion blender until smooth.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. Garnish with chives if desired before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider browning the butter before adding it to the cauliflower. Experiment with different herbs and spices to elevate the dish.
