Description

Creamy cheesecake layer infused with spiced apples and topped with caramel, all on a buttery graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter in a medium bowl. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated, then press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form your crust.
  3. Blend the softened cream cheese with 1 cup sugar and the vanilla extract until smooth and creamy in a large mixing bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring to mix well after each addition.
  4. Fold in the diced apples and cinnamon into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top and swirl it into the filling with a knife.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the cheesecake is set and slightly golden around the edges.
  8. Allow the bar to cool in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature cream cheese and firm apples. Don’t skip the refrigeration time to ensure easy slicing.
