Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, browned

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  2. Toss the sliced pears with lemon juice in a large bowl and layer them evenly in a baking dish.
  3. Combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a separate bowl to create the crisp topping.
  4. Pour the browned butter over the oat mixture, mixing until well combined.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the oat mixture over the prepared pears.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the pears are bubbly.
  7. Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.
