- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- Toss the sliced pears with lemon juice in a large bowl and layer them evenly in a baking dish.
- Combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a separate bowl to create the crisp topping.
- Pour the browned butter over the oat mixture, mixing until well combined.
- Evenly sprinkle the oat mixture over the prepared pears.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the pears are bubbly.
- Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For a crunchier topping, briefly toast the oats in a dry skillet before adding them to the mixture. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 3 months.
