- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Breadcrumbs (optional, for a crunchy topping)
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk for 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
- Gradually pour in the milk, whisking continuously until the sauce thickens and is smooth.
- Stir in the shredded cheese and the Boursin cheese until everything is melted and creamy.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce, mixing well until the pasta is coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you like a crispy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden. Serve warm and enjoy!
