Description

A comforting and creamy mac and cheese dish elevated with the rich goodness of Boursin cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz macaroni pasta
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your preference)
  • 100g Boursin cheese (herb and garlic flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Breadcrumbs (optional, for a crunchy topping)

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk for 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
  3. Gradually pour in the milk, whisking continuously until the sauce thickens and is smooth.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheese and the Boursin cheese until everything is melted and creamy.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce, mixing well until the pasta is coated.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you like a crispy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Experiment with different cheeses or add cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms for a gourmet treat.
