A warm and comforting blueberry cobbler with pockets of creamy delight from cream cheese and a nutty flavor from brown butter.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (brown butter)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 4 ounces cream cheese (cut into small pieces)
- Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns a deep golden brown, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Whisk together the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
- Pour in the milk and the browned butter, mixing gently until just combined.
- Grease a baking dish (about 8×8 inches) and pour the batter into it, spreading evenly.
- Scatter the fresh blueberries over the batter and tuck the cream cheese pieces in between the blueberries.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving, best enjoyed warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
