Instructions
- Make the Blackberry Puree: In a blender, combine blackberries, a tablespoon of sugar, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and set aside.
- Whip the Cream: In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
- Cream the Cheese: In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and remaining sugar until well combined and smooth.
- Combine: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until no streaks remain.
- Add Puree: Carefully fold in the blackberry puree, ensuring it’s evenly distributed but still has some swirls.
- Chill: Transfer the mousse into serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes, or until set.
- Serve: Top with fresh blackberries and whipped cream before serving.
Notes
For different flavors, try other berries like raspberries or strawberries. It can also be frozen, but texture might change.
