Description

A comforting casserole combining ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and crispy tater tots, perfect for family dinners and potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix the cream of mushroom soup, frozen mixed vegetables, salt, and pepper into the beef and onion mixture.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
  6. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, swap ground beef for turkey or chicken. Add chopped green onions or fresh parsley for garnish.
