Description
Decadent brownies swirled with bright, tangy raspberry for a perfect balance of chocolate and fruit.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh raspberries or raspberry puree
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a large bowl, then stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one by one, mixing thoroughly after each addition, and then add the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into your prepared pan and smooth it out evenly.
- Add dots of raspberry puree or whole fresh raspberries over the batter.
- Pour the rest of the brownie batter on top and gently swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For best results, allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting for clean squares.
