Description

Decadent brownies swirled with bright, tangy raspberry for a perfect balance of chocolate and fruit.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries or raspberry puree

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl, then stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one by one, mixing thoroughly after each addition, and then add the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into your prepared pan and smooth it out evenly.
  6. Add dots of raspberry puree or whole fresh raspberries over the batter.
  7. Pour the rest of the brownie batter on top and gently swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For best results, allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting for clean squares.
