- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup sweet peppers, diced
- 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning
- Butter lettuce leaves
- Taco toppings (diced tomatoes, avocado, shredded cheese, salsa)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the diced onions. Sauté until they become translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Next, add the lean ground beef and sweet peppers to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned and the peppers are tender.
- Stir in the homemade taco seasoning, mixing well. Allow everything to cook together for an additional 5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- Once cooked, spoon the beef mixture into individual butter lettuce leaves.
- Lastly, top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftover filling in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
