Description

Fluffy pancakes bursting with the natural sweetness of bananas and rich melted chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2/3 cup milk (room temperature preferred)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Oil or nonstick cooking spray for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your griddle to 350°F or heat a large frying pan over low-medium heat.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Whisk in the sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until combined.
  4. Stir in the milk, mixing well.
  5. Fold in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  6. Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Grease the frying pan or griddle lightly.
  8. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot surface for each pancake.
  9. Cook for 2-3 minutes until small bubbles form on the uncooked side.
  10. Flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Notes
