Description

Delightful Baja Fish Tacos that combine crispy fish, citrus slaw, and creamy chipotle mayo, perfect for quick dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (cod or tilapia)
  • Corn tortillas
  • Citrus slaw: cabbage, lime juice, cilantro, and salt
  • Ripe avocado
  • Chipotle mayo: mayonnaise, chipotle peppers, lime juice
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Lightly coat the fish fillets with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill or pan-fry the fish until it’s opaque and flakes easily, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. While the fish cooks, mix together the cabbage, lime juice, cilantro, and salt in a bowl to prepare the citrus slaw.
  5. Warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a skillet until pliable.
  6. Assemble your tacos: place a piece of fish on each tortilla, top with citrus slaw, add avocado slices, and drizzle with chipotle mayo.
  7. Serve alongside lime wedges for that extra citrus zing!

Notes

Store any uneaten fish and slaw in airtight containers in the refrigerator. Consume within 2 days for best quality.
