Description
A delightful dessert combining rich mascarpone cheese with fresh apples, enclosed in a buttery crumble.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups fresh apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Combine the flour, almond meal, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Add the softened butter and vanilla extract, mixing until the texture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press half of this crumble mixture into the bottom of your prepared springform pan to form a crust.
- Beat the mascarpone cheese with the eggs and granulated sugar until smooth, then stir in the remaining vanilla.
- Pour the mascarpone mixture over the crust in the pan carefully.
- Arrange the sliced apples beautifully over the mascarpone layer, then sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top.
- Dust cinnamon generously over the topping for that warm, comforting flavor.
- Bake your cake for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is a lovely golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow it to cool before carefully removing it from the pan, then it’s ready to serve!
