Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron to ensure even cooking.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar until combined.
- Beat the eggs in a separate bowl, then add milk and melted butter, whisking until smooth.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Lumps are okay!
- Fold in the diced apples, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Lightly spray the waffle iron with non-stick spray. Pour enough batter into the waffle iron.
- Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
- Remove the waffle donuts carefully and place them on a wire rack.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with powdered sugar while warm. Enjoy!
