Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond paste
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until itโ€™s about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Mix together the almond paste, powdered sugar, and almond extract in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Cut the puff pastry into squares, about 4ร—4 inches in size.
  5. Place a spoonful of the almond filling in the center of each square.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and press down to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they puff up and turn golden brown.
