Description

Delicious and crispy air fryer onion rings that make a perfect snack or appetizer with less oil than traditional frying methods.


Ingredients

  • 2 large onions
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Slice the onions into rings.
  3. In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
  5. Place the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  6. Dip each onion ring in the flour mixture, followed by the eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  8. Arrange the onion rings in a single layer in the basket.
  9. Air fry for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  10. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer.

Notes

Try adding garlic powder for extra flavor. For a healthier option, use whole wheat flour.
