Description

A quick and healthy take on the classic Chicken Parmesan, transformed in the air fryer for a crispy texture without the extra oil.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Brush each chicken breast with olive oil, then coat them thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes; then flip the chicken and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes, until it’s cooked through and crispy.
  6. Top each chicken breast with marinara sauce and a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return the chicken to the air fryer for another 2-3 minutes, just until the cheese melts.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy the deliciousness!

Notes

For even cooking, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. Feel free to add herbs to the breadcrumb mixture for added flavor.
