Ingredients
Scale
- White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended for extra crunch)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cold water
- Oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the flour, baking powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Add the cold water gradually to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
- Dip each fish fillet into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Roll the battered fillet in breadcrumbs until well-covered.
- Place the prepared fish fillets in the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd it.
- Lightly spray the fish with oil spray for that extra crisp.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For a lighter, crispier texture, use cold water in the batter. Panko breadcrumbs provide superior crunch.
