Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar (brown sugar adds depth)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup pistachio butter (unsalted)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (or mascarpone)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (or coconut powdered sugar for vegan)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (pure recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream (or non-dairy cream)

Instructions

  1. Make the dough by mixing warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, and salt; mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes; let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Combine pistachio butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the filling.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread filling, and roll tightly.
  6. Cut into individual rolls; let rise for 30-45 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream to make icing.
  9. Drizzle icing over rolls and enjoy!
