Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 2 cups of milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup of custard powder
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven as directed on the puff pastry package and roll it out in a baking dish.
  2. Mix the custard powder and sugar in a saucepan.
  3. Add the milk gradually, whisking to avoid lumps.
  4. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously until it thickens.
  5. Add vanilla extract and allow the custard to cool.
  6. Layer the cooled custard over the baked puff pastry.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  8. Serve by cutting into squares and topping with whipped cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. You can freeze without whipped cream for up to a month.
