Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 14 oz super firm tofu
- ½ cup restaurant-style salsa
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Create the flavor paste by mixing soy sauce, lime juice, cumin, garlic powder, oregano, chili powder, and cornstarch.
- Crumble the tofu using your hands or a fork into small bits.
- Coat the crumbled tofu in the flavor paste until evenly covered.
- Bake the tofu for 15 minutes spread evenly on the baking sheet.
- Flip the tofu and return to the oven for another 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Mix in the salsa and ensure all tofu crumbles are well-coated.
- Serve in taco shells or over a salad!
Notes
Best served with fresh toppings like cilantro, avocado, and hot sauce. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the refrigerator.
