Description

Delightfully chewy chocolate chip cookies with a twist of crunchy pretzels and a sprinkle of sea salt.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Cream the softened butter with both the brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Add the dry ingredient mixture gradually, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, and caramel bits until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Lightly sprinkle sea salt on top of each cookie before baking.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
