Description

A quick and delicious stir-fry featuring tender chicken and colorful veggies in a spicy sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce (adjust according to your heat preference)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 34 green chilies, chopped
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Spring onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with soy sauce, chili sauce, salt, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant—about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the marinated chicken to the pan. Cook it until browned and fully cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Toss in the sliced bell pepper, onion, and chopped green chilies. Stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  5. Garnish with chopped spring onions before serving. Enjoy your Spicy Dragon Chicken!

Notes

Adjust spice levels to taste; can also swap chicken for tofu or chickpeas for a vegetarian version.
