Description

Ingredients

  • 1 whole orange
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Blend the whole orange until smooth in a blender or food processor.
  3. Combine the orange puree, Greek yogurt, eggs, and melted butter in a large mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture gradually, mixing just until everything is incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cake for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
