Description

Delightful baked pumpkin spice donuts that capture the cozy flavors of fall, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar (plus extra for rolling)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (to mix with sugar for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a donut pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Mix the pumpkin puree, egg, milk, and melted butter in a separate bowl until fully blended.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just incorporated—be careful not to overmix!
  5. Fill each cavity of the prepared donut pan about 2/3 full with the batter.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
  7. Allow the donuts to cool slightly in the pan before gently removing them.
  8. Mix together the extra sugar and cinnamon for coating in a small bowl.
  9. Roll each warm donut in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat thoroughly.
  10. Serve and enjoy your delightful pumpkin spice donuts!
