- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (Use pre-rolled for convenience)
- 1 cup Canned Pumpkin Puree
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 1 Egg (beaten, for brushing)
- Powdered Sugar (Optional sweet topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the canned pumpkin, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and ground cloves in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended and set aside.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into rectangles, about 3 inches by 5 inches.
- Place a spoonful of the pumpkin filling in the center of each rectangle.
- Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and press the edges to seal tightly.
- Twist the sealed edges to create a spiral effect.
- Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and brush them with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired once cooled.
