- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup crushed pistachios
- Extra crushed pistachios for rolling
Instructions
- Mix the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the sides of the pan—about 10 minutes.
- Remove it from the heat and allow it to cool until it’s manageable to handle.
- Mix in the crushed pistachios until thoroughly combined.
- Grease your hands with butter, then form small balls from the mixture.
- Roll each ball in extra crushed pistachios to coat evenly.
- Place the finished Brigadeiros on a plate and let them set before enjoying.
Notes
For added flavor, incorporate a sprinkle of sea salt before cooling. Serve with coffee or dessert wine.
