Description

A delicious Brazilian twist on the classic chocolate treat, combining creamy textures with the rich, nutty flavor of pistachios, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup crushed pistachios
  • Extra crushed pistachios for rolling

Instructions

  1. Mix the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the sides of the pan—about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove it from the heat and allow it to cool until it’s manageable to handle.
  4. Mix in the crushed pistachios until thoroughly combined.
  5. Grease your hands with butter, then form small balls from the mixture.
  6. Roll each ball in extra crushed pistachios to coat evenly.
  7. Place the finished Brigadeiros on a plate and let them set before enjoying.

Notes

For added flavor, incorporate a sprinkle of sea salt before cooling. Serve with coffee or dessert wine.
