Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or chunky)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  2. Combine the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the bowl, stirring until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

For a chewy texture, use natural peanut butter. Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
