Description

Deliciously inventive Parmesan cabbage steaks, roasted to golden perfection and sprinkled with savory Parmesan cheese. A unique vegetarian dish that’s easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of green cabbage (about 23 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Remove any damaged outer leaves from the cabbage. Slice the cabbage into ¾-inch thick “steaks.”
  3. Drizzle olive oil over each cabbage steak on a lined baking sheet. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix the grated Parmesan cheese with garlic powder in a small bowl. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the cabbage steaks.
  5. Roast in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping the steaks halfway through cooking.
