- 2 slightly overripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons sugar (or honey as a substitute)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by slicing your bananas into rounds, approximately 1/3 inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and optional nutmeg. Set aside.
- Lightly spray a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray and warm it over medium-low heat.
- Add the banana slices to the heated skillet, spacing them evenly.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture over the bananas, and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bananas soften slightly.
- Gently flip the banana rounds and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon mixture on top.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the bananas are warm and perfectly tender.
Notes
Best served warm; can be paired with pancakes, yogurt, or ice cream.
