A creamy and zesty one-pot dish combining Cajun spices and Alfredo sauce with orzo pasta, perfect for a comforting meal.

- 1 lb Chicken, diced
- 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Orzo Pasta
- 2 cups Low-Sodium Chicken Broth
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
- 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the diced chicken and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Sauté until the chicken is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Add the orzo pasta, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the pot. Stir until combined.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until creamy.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a twist, consider using shrimp or Andouille sausage instead of chicken.
