Description

A quick, delightful dish that combines all the flavors of your classic cheeseburger into a comforting pie, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef along with the diced onions over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix in the ketchup, mustard, diced pickles, salt, and pepper, and allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a pie dish or skillet.
  5. Pour the beef mixture into the crust and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  6. Brush the top with egg wash for a golden crust.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Best served warm with a side salad or sautéed vegetables. Delicious with crispy fries or topped with sour cream.
