Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven: Set it to 350°F (175°C) and grease your mini bundt pans.
  2. Cream butter and sugar: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and granulated sugar. Beat until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs: Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Blend wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk until just combined.
  6. Incorporate almond extract: Stir in the almond extract.
  7. Fill the pans: Pour the batter into mini bundt pans, filling each about 2/3 full.
  8. Baking time: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cooling period: Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Finish with powdered sugar: Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes

For a chocolate twist, replace a quarter of the flour with cocoa powder.
