Description

Delightful rolls infused with Earl Grey tea and finished with creamy lavender frosting, perfect for brunch or a cozy evening treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk (warm)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Earl Grey tea bag
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lavender buds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk with 1 tablespoon of sugar in a small bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Combine flour, remaining sugar, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Pour in the melted butter, yeast mixture, and vanilla extract. Knead until smooth, then let rise until doubled in size, roughly 60 minutes.
  3. Steep the Earl Grey tea bag in 1/4 cup of hot water to create a concentrated brew. Stir in brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and add a tablespoon of infused tea.
  4. Roll out the dough and spread the filling evenly across the surface. Roll into a log and slice into individual rolls.
  5. Place the sliced rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden-brown.
  7. Beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar and lavender until smooth and fluffy for the frosting.
  8. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before frosting them, then serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store cooled rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat as needed.
