Instructions

- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, lemon zest, and dried lavender until thoroughly combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually mix these dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart for even baking.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar with lemon juice and the additional teaspoon of dried lavender until smooth and creamy.
- Drizzle the glaze generously over the cooled cookies.
- Allow the glaze to set before serving.
