Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender (plus 1 teaspoon for glaze)

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, lemon zest, and dried lavender until thoroughly combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually mix these dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart for even baking.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar with lemon juice and the additional teaspoon of dried lavender until smooth and creamy.
  8. Drizzle the glaze generously over the cooled cookies.
  9. Allow the glaze to set before serving.
