Description

Delightfully aromatic Lavender Lemon Bars that combine tart lemon with floral notes, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish for easy removal later.
  2. Combine the flour, powdered sugar, softened butter, and salt in a mixing bowl until a crumbly texture forms.
  3. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes or until it turns a light golden color.
  4. Whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, dried lavender, and baking powder in another bowl until smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour the lemon-lavender mixture over your baked crust, spreading evenly.
  6. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until the filling is set.
  7. Allow your Lavender Lemon Bars to cool, then cut them into squares and dust with extra powdered sugar if desired.
