- 1 ball of pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 fresh jalapeños (sliced; remove seeds for less heat)
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 6 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese (about 4 slices)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Prepare the baking sheet by lightly coating it with olive oil.
- Shape the pizza dough into a circle approximately 10 inches in diameter and transfer to a pan lined with parchment paper.
- Make the cream cheese mixture by blending the softened cream cheese with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Assemble the pizza by spreading the cream cheese mixture over the dough, leaving a border, then layering with mozzarella cheese and topping with Monterey Jack and jalapeño slices.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped chives if desired, let cool, then slice and enjoy!
