Description

A delightful fusion of classic pizza and the bold flavors of jalapeño poppers, perfect for game nights or family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 ball of pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 fresh jalapeños (sliced; remove seeds for less heat)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese (about 4 slices)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Prepare the baking sheet by lightly coating it with olive oil.
  3. Shape the pizza dough into a circle approximately 10 inches in diameter and transfer to a pan lined with parchment paper.
  4. Make the cream cheese mixture by blending the softened cream cheese with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Assemble the pizza by spreading the cream cheese mixture over the dough, leaving a border, then layering with mozzarella cheese and topping with Monterey Jack and jalapeño slices.
  6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Garnish with chopped chives if desired, let cool, then slice and enjoy!
