Description

Indulge in the comforting goodness of Irish Cheese Toasties, made with rich Irish cheeses and toasted to perfection.

Ingredients

  • Irish cheese (e.g., aged cheddar, Dubliner)
  • Butter
  • Bread (e.g., sourdough or marble rye)
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (e.g., thyme or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Generously spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  4. Top with layers of your chosen cheese and sprinkle any herbs you like, then cap it with another slice of bread, butter-side up.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom turns golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melty and gooey.
  6. Remove from the skillet, slice, and enjoy your toasties while they’re warm!

Notes

Serve with pickles, salad, or soup. For leftovers, store in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat in a skillet.
