Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter (or vegetable oil for non-dairy alternative)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Mix in the honey and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, mixing until evenly incorporated.
  6. Add in the cinnamon if desired.
  7. Fold in the flour, stirring just until combined.
  8. Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
  9. Transfer the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
  10. Bake for 60-65 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
